Eighth Wearables In Practice Symposium
The 8th Wearables in Practice Symposium will be held at the October 14th, 2022.
Theme: AI for wearables assessing population health
This year, we are happy to co-organize the 8th Wearables in Practice (WIP) symposium in collaboration with the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) and the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC). The symposium will take place in PLNT Leiden, on the 14th of October, 2022. During this one-day symposium (09:00-17:00), we will highlight the use of AI for wearables assessing population health.
Poster submission is now open, until the 7th of October 2022!
We invite you to submit your posters with a focus on wearables in practice for the 8th WIP! Through their posters, researchers will have the opportunity to share their research around AI for wearables assessing population health.
About the submission, please send your abstract (no more than 250words) to wip2022@liacs.leidenuniv.nl by October 7th 2022. Our selection and prioritization criteria will be relevant to the symposium theme (AI for wearables assessing population health). You will be notified of the results by email no later than the 7th of October. Please note that there will not be a proceeding later where the abstracts are published.
Looking forward to your submissions!
About the lunch, we planned meat, vegetarian and vegan options, however, if there are any dietary restrictions (e.g. need for gluten-free option), please email us as soon as possible here: s.paraschiakos@liacs.leidenuniv.nl (Stelios).
The symposium is funded by SAILS (Society Artificial Intelligence and Life Sciences), a university-wide initiative aiming to facilitate collaboration across disciplines on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Young Academy Leiden (YAL).
